Professional Circus, Burlesque, and Theater Artists share the tools, tips, and tricks they've learned for storing everything from oversize props to delicate feather headdresses.

You'll learn to "design for storage," find options beyond plastic boxes and dry cleaning bags, and dive into the details of storing feathers, fur, foam, and fininicky fabrics.

The workshop will end with a 20-minute Q&A to help brainstorm your own storage challenges.

ABOUT THE EDUCATORS:

MsPixy has been performing, directing, and costuming in Chicago theater, burlesque, and cosplay since 1999, and is still using carefully-stored prop and costume items she acquired in the early 90s. She is known for her "costume puppetry," pieces which create unique storage challenges with their unusual sizes, shapes, and materials.

"Tank" Tana Karo is a circus performer, producer, director, and costumer with over 20 years of designing and storing costumes for her troupe, Acrobatica Infinity Circus, a "nerd circus" with cosplay-themed performances encompassing literally hundreds of pop culture characters.
