Camps for creative kids

Prepare and perform camps begin where every young actor wants to start:
with the costumes.
In each Prepare & Perform camp, students develop their characters by crafting their costumes for the show. As a group, students literally build the “world” of their performance as they create set pieces and props. Each performance looks different, and may or may not look like a traditional theatrical production.
For example in “Creative Zoology,” our performance is a “menagerie walk,” in which we learn about each new animal, its habitat, and its habits! Mystery week takes the form of an interactive “whodunnit?” with the audience as part of the narrative. Sure, we do the occasional traditional performance, but at Idea Box, our focus is on exploring the outer limits of what “performance” can be.
